Adjunct Instructor of Political Science  

George Fox University announces an adjunct faculty position in Political Science, to begin in August 2017.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • PSCI 230 - Introduction to International Affairs
  • An introduction to the core issues and problems that affect the entire world, including threats to security such as war and terrorism, the rise of globalization, the persistence of inequality between rich and poor countries, and the degradation of the environment
  • Schedule TBA; 8/28/2017-12/15/2017 OR 1/8/2017-4/28/2018
  • The instructor must be able to effectively introduce students to the analysis of international phenomena, including such broad topics as war, trade, and law. The instructor should be able to draw on various theories social scientists use to explain and predict international outcomes, using modern and historical events to help students think analytically about global affairs. 
  • Instructor will be expected to meet class regularly, manage and give feedback on assignments, be available for communication with students, and work professionally and collegially with students and faculty


  • A master's degree in politics or government is required; Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
