Adjunct Instructor of Political Science

George Fox University announces an adjunct faculty position in Political Science, to begin in August 2017.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • PSCI 290 Political Science Research and Writing
  • Explores the methods and resources for undertaking research in political science and writing persuasive and sound analytical papers. A required course for all political science majors and minors. Students are strongly encouraged to take this course during their sophomore year whenever possible.
  • Most likely meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:25-2:40 PM; 8/28-12/15
  • Instructor must be able to effectively challenge and strengthen students' reading, writing, and analytical skills with a focus on academic research and writing from the major political science subfields.
  • Instructor will be expected to meet class regularly, manage and give feedback on assignments, be available for communication with students, and work professionally and collegially with students and faculty


  • A master's degree in politics or government is required; Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
