George Fox University Department of Art and Design seeks part time adjunct faculty in foundations and 2D studio media.

Art & Design Department Mission Statement: The Department of  Art and Design at George Fox University prepares students for positions of service and leadership by cultivating excellence within the field of art and design. Position Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching within the Art & Design foundations core and/or the 2D studio major curriculum. Specifically, we seek staffing for the following courses: Painting I, II, III.  2D Design, Drawing I, Drawing II, Figure Drawing.

Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree (MFA) in relevant field required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students (including students of color, first-generation college students, international students, etc.) is essential, demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
  • All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
  • Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
