Adjunct Instructor, Biology

George Fox University announces adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Biological and Molecular Sciences, to begin Fall 2023. We seek applicants with the ability to teach lectures and labs in General Biology (with a focus on cellular biology and genetics) and Anatomy and Physiology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Primary teaching responsibilities involve weekly lectures and laboratory sections General Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology.
• Lectures are scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Labs are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday.
• Provide feedback to students and respond to student concerns and questions.
• Collaborate with Biology faculty members within the department.

Qualifications

• M.S./Ph.D. in Biology, Genetics, Physiology, or a related scientific field is required.
• Applicants should have professional experience in related industries and/or teaching experience in related fields.
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
• All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
