George Fox University Department of Art and Design seeks part time adjunct faculty in graphic design and/or illustration

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching within the graphic design and illustration course offerings, specifically ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Typography, Print and Packaging Design, Branding, Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), Web Design, Interaction Design, Design History, or 3D Illustration.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS or comparable experience in design, illustration or a closely related field is required.
  • Terminal degree (MFA) in relevant field preferred.
  • Prior college level teaching experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and interest in teaching is essential.
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students (including students of color, first-generation college students, international students, etc.) is essential, demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
  • All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
  • Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
