Adjunct Instructor of Biology

George Fox University announces an adjunct faculty position in Biology to begin in January 2018.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Primary teaching responsibilities involve weekly lectures and 4 laboratory sections in a non-majors Environmental Science course.
• Candidates would work with regular full-time faculty to deliver an existing active-learning course curriculum and inquiry-based labs emphasizing the scientific method.
• The Environmental Science lectures are scheduled for MWF 8-8:50AM. Two lab sections are scheduled for Tuesday from 1:30-5:20PM and 2 labs on Wednesday from 10:00-1:50PM. 

Qualifications

• S./B.A. or higher is required in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or another scientific field with preference given to candidates holding an advanced degree.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
