Adjunct Instructor of Chemistry

George Fox University announces an adjunct faculty position in Chemistry, to begin in August 2018.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Primary teaching responsibilities involve 4 weekly laboratory sections in majors-level Organic Chemistry course.
• The primary objectives of the laboratory portion of the course are (1) to teach the materials, equipment and skills in synthesis, purification and identification of representative groups of organic compounds; and (2) to reinforce the chemistry principles discussed in the lecture. 
• The CHEM 331 lab sections are scheduled as for

Qualifications

• S. or higher is required in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or another related scientific field with preference given to candidates holding an advanced degree.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
