Adjunct Instructor of International Studies

George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct instructor position in International Studies, to begin in August 2021. The person hired will teach INTL 200: Cultural Geography and Global Relations. This course is a study of the world's cultural regions developed through the themes of location, human environmental relationships, movement, and regions, with emphasis on the interrelatedness of culture, physical, economic, historical, and political geography in creating the dynamic cultural landscapes existing today

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching INTL 200: Cultural Geography and Global Relations, Tuesday/Thursday, 8:00-9:15 from August 30 to December 17, 2021
• Designing assignments, grading, completing needed assessment, meeting with students
• Candidates must be available to teach on the Newberg campus as this is an in-person course.

Qualifications

• An MA or Ph.D in Geography or International Studies.
• Evidence of teaching excellence
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
• All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.

• Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. and employees of George Fox University must be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, New York, Ohio, or Texas.
