Adjunct Instructors of Social Work, 2020-21

George Fox University's The School of Social Work is seeking applications for adjunct instructors to teach in the BSW and MSW programs for the 2020-2021 academic year beginning in Fall 2020. Applicants should have a broad generalist background in social work or a related field and have expertise in one or more of the course subject areas listed below. 

Courses at the BSW level include Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Statistical Procedures, Research Methods, Diversity, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Family Violence, Death, Loss, and Grief, as well as Field Seminars. Courses at the MSW level include DSM-V, Social Work Practice and Field Practicum. Field faculty lead a weekly seminar and also conduct agency visits for students in the seminar.

Qualifications:

• The preferred degree for interested applicants is a Masters in Social Work, however, related degrees will be considered.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable.
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
• All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
