Assistant Professor, Educational Leadership

George Fox University announces a full-time position in the Educational Leadership programs, to begin August 15, 2022. This 24-credit position is to teach courses within the Doctor of Education and Master of Education degree programs, and in the Administrative Licensure courses leading to a Principal and/or a Professional Administrator license in Oregon.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching courses mainly within the Educational Leadership programs with a primary focus on developing leadership competencies
  • Advising candidates in various programs of study to meet required credits for degrees and competencies for Oregon licensure
  • Working collaboratively with faculty and staff to design experiences for summer residency, to utilize the GFU learning management system, to teach online courses in the College of Education's redesigned leadership programs of study

Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership required
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and district-level leadership is essential
  • Licensed administrator or able to qualify for Oregon's Professional Administrator License
  • Commitment to working with a diverse population of candidates is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred
  • Must be available to teach on the Newberg campus, as well as virtually online
  • All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
  • Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. and employees of George Fox University must be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, New York, Ohio, or Colorado.
