Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Business

George Fox University announces a 1-year visiting non-tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics and Business, to begin August 2021. This position focuses on our undergraduate program offerings ion Business and Mathematics. As such, we seek applicants with the ability to teach in a broad range of courses, giving priority to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, General Education Math, Business Statistics, Personal Finance and/or Mathematics for Elementary Teachers.

This position is a one- year appointment, 2021-22

The work of our new colleague will include, but is not limited to:

• Teaching broadly in the business and mathematics curriculum, including College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Business Statistics and Personal Finance.
• Engagement with professional business and mathematics communities.
• Participation in the work of the department and the university, including advising and serving on university committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a Master's Degree in Mathematics, Business or a closely related field will be given preference
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.

Salary and Rank

Appointment at the Visiting Assistant Professor level is anticipated. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
